Report Ethical Misconduct

One of my most important roles is to create the best possible work environment for everyone in the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana. I want our diocese to be a great place to work, with employees who are proud of what they do, feel good about their jobs and are highly productive. We should also have the comfort of knowing that we work in a safe, secure, and ethical workplace.
 
Everyone (parishioners, volunteers, and employees-regardless of position), shares in the responsibility for promoting a positive environment. We have a phone and Internet-based reporting system, called the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana Ethics Hotline, which is managed by NAVEX Global’s EthicsPoint system, to enhance communication and empower you to promote safety, security, and ethical behavior.
 
To use the hotline, you can use the web intake form located on the following website: dioceseoflafayetteinindiana.ethicspoint.com. You can also call the toll-free hotline at: 855-375-6796. Posters are now at your parish/school to promote the use of this hotline as well.
 
This system allows you to communicate your concerns and enables you to remain anonymous if you so choose. We have partnered with NAVEX Global to manage the reporting system for us. They have gone to great lengths to ensure that reports entered in the system are completely confidential. Every allegation that is submitted to this hotline is fully investigated for accuracy. Anyone may raise a concern about any individual, myself included, regardless of position or title.  
 
Your input is essential to ensuring that we maintain a positive, productive workplace. Please know that when you use the EthicsPoint system, you can report misconduct that you observe, or gain clarity on whether or not something is cause for concern. We want to hear your positive comments, too -- things that we are doing well or things that could be improved. You have my promise that all reports will be reviewed and responded to appropriately.
